FEWER CRASHES
The noise made by ash and garbage tins, as emptied by sanitation • department employees in New York, is to be considerably reduced, Mayor La Guardia lias ruled, thus assuring New Yorkers a few more hours of uninterrupted sleep. The Mayor decreed that collectors no longer may throw garbage and ash receptacles on the "sidewalks" with reckless disregard of the clamour that for years has awakened light sleepers in the early morning hours. The order was issued by the Mayor as an important part'Ql the city's anti-noise campaign.
