According to an Auckland message Mr. E. G. Bridgens has completed the purchase of the pacer Pegaway from A. Cook, and the Worthy Bond gelding has also been entered for the Western Australian championship at Perth m February. Of the six New Zealand horses engaged at Perth Pegaway is the only Auckland representative, and his prospects of making the trip will depend on his ability to regain his best form. He is under the care of F. J.i Smith, for whom he won some goodl races two seasons ago. '
