HENRY JONES YEAR.
Henry Jones, Ltd., a company holding shares in jam and fruit preserving companies in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and England, made a net profit last year of £149,621. Of this amount £95,771 was earned in Australia, and £53,850 outside Australia. Total dividend is 8f per cent., including interim of 6d per share, paid from profit earned in Australia, and final of Is 3d a share, paid as to 6d per share from-profit earned in Australia and :■ as to 9d per share from profit earned outside Australia. The balance, £24,481, is transferred to general reserve. The dividend for 1933 was 6J per cent.; for 1934, 7-i per cent.
Laden with a shipment of new season's dates for Australia and New Zealand, the British-India freighter Chyebassa is expected to arrive at Sydney early next month from Basra. About 2500 tons will be discharged at Sydney, and the remainder of the consignment will be. unloaded at Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Newcastle, and Brisbane.
