NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD

Arrangements are well in hand for the National Eisteddfod's competitions, which will be held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall from May 9 to May 23 next. The syllabus, which embodies many entirely new and interesting features, especially in the dancing sections, is in preparation, and will be on sale at the end of the first week in December.

Miss Gwen Sievers, of Sydney, is judging the dancing sections, and the winner of the dancing championship will proceed to Sydney to compete there, as will also the winner of the elocution scholarship. This latter section is being judged by Mr. W. Watters, L.A.8., of Wanganui.

Numerous inquiries have been received by the organiser as to whether or not the Eisteddfod will be allowing properties for competitors. It is stated that they will be permitted.
