BUILDING- BYLAWS

ARCHITECTS' DISCUSSION

The question of the effect of the proposed model building bylaws now in process of completion by the Standards Institution was raised by Mr. E. H. de J. Clere at the annual meeting of the-Wellington branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.

Mr. Clere expressed the hope that in the event of any provisions of the new code permitting less stringent requirements the Wellington City Council would amend its requirements accordingly or adopt the model bylaws.

Considerable discussion ensued, and a motion, which left the matter in the hands of the branch committee, was carried.
