CANDIDATE'S DEATH
(Received November 23,-11.45 a.m.) LONDON, November' 22. A few hours before the closing today of tho poll in the Scottish Universities, which has triple representation in the House of Commons, a Conservative candidate, Mr.- Archibald Skelton, died in a nursing home. The returning officer says that if Mr. Skelton has received sufficient votes he must declare ■ him elected, leaving Parliament jto order a new election.
