EMINENTLY WISE
AUSTRALIAN DECISION
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS TRAINING
LONDON, November 22. "The Times," in a leader, welcomes Australia's increasing External Affairs Department sending officials and embassies abroad as eminently wise. It says there is no better way of obtaining a broad view of world affairs or the special knowledge required at Canberra, and expresses the opinion that the officers appointed will find their London experience valuable, but British service will also benefit .by a leavening of young Dominion representatives. "The Times" urges as many similar interchanges as possible in order to promote understanding and preserve a common tradition, in which the exchange of teachers has long set a useful example.
