Wellington junket Central Comnnttee with representation from the committees organising the three carnival candidates for the SOS appeal Gloria, p am , and Maisie, held a meeting yesterday, presided over by Mrs. Jowett, Wellington, and arrange^ ments were made for the crownmg ceremony. The crowning ceremony will be the main feature of the garden party for both adults and children at the Re°idential Nursery, Tinakori Road, on Thursday, December 5, after school 'This ceremony is being arranged by ,Miss Jean Knox Gilmtr, who is aZ pointing the little attendants'of the t queen" and "princess." Nieces and nephews of "Uncle Campbell" will be pleased to hear that he will entertain them in the afternoon.
Next week, from Monday, members of the committee will be in attendance at the D.I.C. Lounge, where it is hoped that people who have benefited from Plunket services will help the society by coming along to record their votes for the three children.
The committee has resolved to have another open day at the Karitane Hospital on Friday, November 29, as they have received so many requests from interested people who were unable to go last time. .
