OTAKI SEEKING TROTS

• Several prominent residents of Otaki have approached the Manawatu Trotting Club regarding a special trotting meeting at Otaki on a date towards the end of February next, the occasion being the official opening of the Maori carved house, when it is expected there will be from three to five thousand Natives in town for the celebratiorts.-

The committee of the trotting club has not yet given serious consideration to the proposal, but it is understood that if a permit is available the trotting club will endeavour to meet the Otaki people in the matter.
