HOW LABOUR [WILL RULE

(By Telegraph—Pr^/ss Association.) AUCKLAND, November 22. Addressing a cro\ rded meeting in Auckland West to night, Mr. M. J. Savage, Leader of ' ;'ie Labour Party, replied to statements made by the Prime Minister (Uva Rt. Hon. G. \V. Forbes) at Rangiora., on Thursday j night. Mr. Savage stated that the | Prime Minister was,' reported to have I said that the work;1 of tha Executive | Commission of Agriculture, the Court jof Review, and Hue Reserve Bank j would pass intfo th.<; hands of Labour politicians instead <2f being controlled by experts as at present.

"I give i that an emphatic denial,' said Mr. Savage, "and reports of my speeches throughout the country will substantiate my objection to the Prime Minister's deliberate misrepresentation of the Labour Party's policy.

"I have repeatedly stated that it would be the duty of a Labour Government to la,y jidown a policy to bo administered by . experts and not by Labour members." continued the speaker. "The .'Prime Minister also said that only Lnibour supporters would get any consideration. That comes very badly from the Iv.ead of a Government that has stuffed s-.1l boards and commissions with its cp.vn political friends. There is not a Voard in existence today that is not mad c up of political friends of the Govornnnent."

A motion of confidence in the Labour Party and in IHr. Savage was carried.
