WELLINGTON SOUTH ELECTORS.
WE, the Nominators of MR. H. F. '" TOOGOOD, National Candidate, desire to give the following reasons why we ask you to support his candidature: — MR. TOOGOOD is one of the last men to speak about himself, and -we who have nominated him believe it to be our duty to give the Electors our knowledge of the candidate whom we ask you to support. MR. TOOGOOD Is a Consulting Engineer of high ability, widely acknowledged. His services are in demand by many Local Bodies, including City Councils, Harbour Boards, Power Boards, Borough Councils, and County Councils. Your own City Council and •Harbour Board have retained his services for special purposes. He is a man trained to be constructive and to appreciate true values. His administrative abilitj' and integrity are unchallenged. He is accustomed to weighing any proposals carefully before making proI mises; but once given, his word is his bond. He is a fluent and logical speaker and has a wide and sound knowledge of Finance and Economics, especially as applied to New Zealand conditions. He was born in Wellington district, and through his work is widely known in this Dominion. "" His views and actions with regard to I Labour problems and the wage earner arc, and always have been, generous j and sympathetic. j From his early manhood he. has | shown grit and determination, and by his own force of character and ability, and for the most part by his own efforts, lie lias risen from the workshop bench to be acknowledged one of the leaders of his honourable and useful profession. j His career in Ibis respect is an inspiratoin to the youth of this country. And withal, MR. TOOGOOD has never lost that direct simplicity of thought and those wide sympathies which make for true success in life.
