Interest was fairly keen in breweries as investments and prices generally were higher than the past week or ten days. Tooth and Co., Sydney, propose a cash bonus of 2~J per cent and an issue of shares at par to shareholders in the proportion oi one for every, ten shares held. Shares of J Staples and Co., Wellington, had good inquiry at 33s on Thursday and up to 36s 6d in Christchurch. the same day where there were sellers at 38s.
