(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON) October 26. Mr. 'H. G. Pilling, formerly of the Wanganui Collegiate School, and recenty a student at' Brasenose College, Oxford, has been allocated to a position in Uganda under the Colonial Service. Mr. Pilling has been reading Law at the university, and gained his B.C.L. this month. Mr. W. F. Monk, M.A. (N.Z.), has arrived at Oriel College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholarship holder. He is reading for the Honour School of Modern History, which he hopes to complete in two years and to devote the third year to research. Mr. A. A. N. Breckon (Auckland) has passed the medical tests for ' a Short Service Commission in the Royal Air Force, and he is to begin preliminary training at a civil flying school in Northamptonshire. Later he will go to the R.A.F. Depot at Uxbridge and then to the Flying Training School at Montrose. Mr. Breckon will begun his course at the end of November. Flying Officer A. E. Clouston (Westport), who was transferred to the Royal Air Force Reserve on October 1, has been appointed one of two Test pilots at the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough. These are the first test pilots to join the establishment at Farnborough as civilians, for hitherto only officers on the active list have been so employed. Flying Officer Clouston joined the R.A.F. in 1930, and served with No. 25 (Fighter) and No. 24 (Communications) Squadron.
