BOYS' INSTITUTE

Mr. L. T. Watkins, vice-president, presided at the monthly meeting of the management committee of the Boys' Institute on. Monday evening in the absence of the chairman, Mr. W. A. Parton.

The most important of the evening's discussions was the outlining of the programme of work for 1936, whereby an extension of the institute's activities will be made and its facilities more widely used.

The year's work is now drawing towards a close, and arrangements are well in hand for the annual camp which will be held at Paraparaumu 'Beach.

The director reported that lie w;>s desirous of. combining the Christmas parly with a reunion of all connected with the institute—management committee, staff, and old boys. The scheme was approved and the director was authorised to proceed with the arrangements.
