QUICK WORK
■ A herd of cows that had been milked one morning recently on a farm near Knutsford, Cheshire, were grazing in an Oxfordshire pasture before the evening milking time. In the meanwhile the complete stock and equipment of the farm had been transferred by rail to Kirtlington. near Bletchington. The journey between Knutsford and Bletchington stations took eighthours, stops being made in order to feed and water the animals. There were 77 head of cattle, 200 fowls, and three dogs on the special train, besides farm equipment and furniture. I The farm hands 1 i-nv-<:-Ilr.-c) in two I coaches. '
