ITALIAN RETALIAtION BLOCKING OF BANK BALANCES ADVICE RECEIVED IN LONDON United Press Association—By Electric TeUgrapli—Copyright (Received November 21, 2.15 p.m.) LONDON, November 20. The "News-Chronicle", says that Italy's most decisive counter-action is the blocking of British bank balances. London banks are advised that all payments from lira accounts kept with their correspondents in Italy will be stopped until further notice. This means that British banks will be unable to dispose of their'ltalian funds. Some interpret this as the first move in the possible sequestration of British assets in Italy. IDEA ABANDONED CHURCHILL AND ADMIRALTY MINISTERS TO BECOME VISCOUNTS (Received November 21, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, November 20. Tips that Mr. Winston Churchill will be chosen for the Admiralty portfolio have suddenly ceased. The "Manchester Guardian" says definitely that the idea has been abandoned. - ■. ■ Sir Bolton Eyres-Monsell, First Lord of the Admiralty, and Sir Philip Cun-liffe-Lister, Secretary of State for Air, are to become Viscounts. Seventy-seven of the Labour members in' the new House of Commons are sponsored and financed by trade unions. Of these members thirty-four are miners.
