FLIGHT OVER POLE
ELLSWORTH READY
NEW YORK, November 18.
A North American Newspaper Association message from Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth states:—
"We, are now completely ready to start our trans-Antarctic flight. If the weather is good and the snow surface favourable we will be oil at eight tomorrow morning.
"All. day the men have been hauling sled loads of material up the steep grade almost to the top of the island. At midnight on Monday the ]ast of the petrol and other supplies was loaded into the Polar Star. The aeroplane has been taxied into position and the instruments checked."
