ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the club, presided over by Mr. Vernon J. Leek, was attended by a large number of members, in spite of inclement weather conditions. Mr. L. E. Dust was elected examiner for the club examinations, and a group of twenty pupils sat for tests in spoken Esperanto under his guidance. The- programme hour was opened by Mr. L. E. Dust, who gave an interesting talk on the size of the ship "Queen Mary." Mr. Anton Vogt gave an interesting account of "Lingva Lernado," slating the difficulties he encountered in learning several languages, whereas one, Esperanto, would have sufficed. The president (Mr. Leek) recounted how Esperanto was used to converse with his grandparents in Italy, while he was on a world t~ur. Mr. J. H. Thomas arranged the programme.
