EMPIRE WRESTLING TITLE.
Btfly Meeske, former world's lightheavyweight champion wrestler and leading Australian promoter, disputes George Walker's claim to the British Empire title. It was to settle this dispute that Meeske came to New Zealand about ten days ago. He made his first appearance against Wong Bok Cheung last Saturday, losing by a penalty fall when he appeared to have the match well within his grasp. Meeske proved that, apart from being a great showman, he can really wrestle. He will provide Walker with a torrid struggle in their Saturday night encounter. Walker has been kept very busy recently and "Tiger" Duala is the only wrestler who has defeated him since his first match, and that only on points. Walker is now in top form and will keep Mecske moving all the way. This match is of more than usual interest since it. will serve to show where Walker stands in relation, to Australia's leading wrestlers, Meeske and I.urich. Particulars are advertised.
