SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Pressure has risen over 'the Dominion, but. this morning it was still relatively low in the northern districts. Winds became, southerly generally last nlßht, and strong in the CookStrait region, and in some exposed positions elsewhere, but otherwise their force has been mainly light or moderate. Cool, changeable weather lias been experienced with rain at times in most districts, but this morning Improved conditions were in evidence over the greater part of the South Island.
