B.M.A. AND LABOUR
"It is absurdly wrong that medical men wait in their rooms for patients who do not come and for people who need the benefit of their skill and knowledge to have to stay away," said Mr. P. M. Butler, the Labour candidate for the Suburbs seat, last night. "The Labour Party will co-operate With the medical profession, friendly societies, and chemists to ensure that medical skill shall-be available to those who need it. Already the B.M.A. has suggested a skeleton scheme." A voice: Yes, but will the B.M.A..cooperate with the Labour Party? Mr. Butler: I cannot speak for the | B.M.A. I can only speak for the I Labour Party, but this I can tell you: I that some of the foremost members of | the B.M.A. are members of the Labour Party and that two of them are Labour candidates in this election. -.-''.'
