ACCIDENTAL DEATH

An open verdict was returned by the Coroner (Mr. E. Gilbertson, J.p") at the inquest today into the death of Edward Cornelius O'Brien, aged 55, a bushman employed at Campbell's Mill, who suffered a fracture or dislocation of the spine when he fell off a motorlorry on the Akatavawa road on November 9. He died in the Wellington Public Hospital on November 11.

The Coroner said that no blame was attachable to the driver of the lorry. Proceedings for the police were conducted by Sergeant J. Edwards.
