Muritai beat Lower Hutt B by 15 sets to 1. Petone beat Lower Hutt A by 9 sets to 7. Senior B Grade. Petone beat St. Augustine's by 11 sets to 5. Waiwhetu beat Central by 12 sets to 4. Muritai beat Eastern by 10 sets to 6. Junior Grade. Burnside beat Eastern by 11 sets to 5. Taita beat Upper Hutt by 10 sets to 6. Hutt Bowl, beat Trentham by 10 sets to 6. I'oro Koro beat Western by 91 games to 89. Wilford beat Muritai by 10 sets to 6. Third Grade. St. Peter and St. Paul's beat Western by 14 sets to 2. Eastern beat Methodist by 9 sets to 7. St. James beat Lower Hutt by 83 games to 76. Central beat Wilford by 9 sets to 7. Waiwhetu beat Petone by 10 sets to 6. St. Stephen's beat St. Augustine's by 11 sets to 5. Fourth Grade. Taita beat Methodist by 10 sets to 3. Knox beat Burnside by 13 sets to 3. Lower Hutt beat St. Peter and St. Paul's by 14 sets to 2. Wainui beat Pononga by 57 games to 44. RANKING MATCHES. Some interesting matches tor places on the Hutt Valley • Sub-association's ranking list were played last week, but there were not many changes in the positions of the players. All matches were won on straight sets with the exception of the match which went to three sets. Livingstone won the first set' 6-2, and was 4-1 in the second set, which he eventually lost 4-6. Edwards took the next set 6-3. The following ranking matches have been played recently:—J. Charters beat | N Edwards, 7-5, 6-3; D. Livingstone beat A. A. A. Clark, 6-4, 7-5; N. Edwards beat D. Livingstone, 2-6,. 6-4, 6-3; E- Thompson beat L. Evans, 6-1, 8-6; N. Tdsswill beat I. Willis, 6-1, 7-5; K. Tosswill beat G. Martin, 7-5, 6-2.
