AUCKLAND, November 18. The Mataki return for the week ended November 17 was 68oz for 134 hours' work.

Alexander Mines, Ltd., report that 274 tons of ore were crushed during September and October for 80oz ldwt melted gold. During the same period the cyanide department treated 222 tons of sands for 30oz Bdwt bullion. The concentrates roaster produced 30oz 7dwt bullion. The total estimated value of the above returns is £1000. In addition, 8606 tons of concentrates were saved, valued at £340. (Note—ln estimating, the above values gold has been taken at £7 5s a fine ounce.)
