SITUATION IN MEMEL
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 13. Developments in the political situation at Memel, where the Governor has nominated one of the five Lithuanian members in the recently-elected Diet, in which German Memel members hold twenty-four seats, to form a new Directory, are being closely I watched by the British Government as one of the signatories of the Memel Statute. The Statute provides that the Directory should enjoy Ihe confidence of the Diet, and the result of the efforts of M. Borcherls to form a Government which will secure the support of a majority in the Diel. is awaited with interest.
