BRAdMAN'S HALF-CENTURY, ADELAIDE, November 12. The M.C.C. team defeated South Australia by 36 runs. The weather was cool and cloudy. English hopes dwindled when Human was dismissed and M.C.C. were all out before lunch for 174. Ryan took three " wickets for 5 runs. The home side was loft with 220 minutes in which to make 224 for a win in their second innings, Badcock, in forcing the pace, had a narrow escape early when he snicked a ball from Baxter, off the wicket. The score was then less than half a dozen. In a grim fight Bradman and Ryan temporarily checked the home side's rot. Tarrant's touring Australian cricket team began a two-day match against Gujarat Province today and lost the toss for the third time in sue* cession.
