MEN OF KENT

A very enjoyable evening was^ held at Miss Marjorie Newport's studio on Saturday by the Men of Kent and Kentish Men's Association. Items were contributed by Mrs. Wilfred Andrews (song), Miss Marjorie Hill (musical monologue), Miss Gloria Hassett (skipping dance), Mr. Glading (song), Mr. Norm. Sander (novelty instrumental), and Mr. A. Parsons, sen. (humorous song). A beautiful bouquet was presented to Mrs. Andrews and Miss Hill, and a box of chocolates to Miss Hassett. The items were interspersed by dancing, and the evening concluded with dancing. Lucky spot prizes were won by Mr. Bayley and partner. The committee comprised Mr. A. G. Parsons (hon. sec), Mr. and Mrs. W. Marshall, Mrs. Hoare, Mr. and Mrs. Chambers, Mr. and Mrs. Clothier, Mr. and Mrs. Parsons, Mr. and Mrs. Fullett, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwards. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Geary, Mr. and Mrs. W. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Gilmour, Mr. and Mrs. Mason, Mr. and Mrs. Bayley, Misses K. and P. Heaven, Miss D. Roffe, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Page, and Miss Page, Miss E. Moore, Miss K. Tullett, Miss Lowe, Miss E. Lark, Miss Hunt, Mr. G. Reynolds, Mr. W. Andrews, and many others. The music and accompaniments were' ably supplied by Mr. Claude Sander and Mr. N. Sander.
