The death occurred at the Master ton Hospital yesterday of Mr. Edwarc J6nes, after a short illness, at the ag< of 81, states "The Post's" corres pondent. The late Mr. Jones was borr at Waiwetu in 1854, his parents havins arrived at Port Nicholson in 1842. H< arrived in Masterton when 18 month; old and ever since had resided here The late Mr. Jones was closely con nected with the Methodist Church ii Masterton and was for xipwards of 5: years a Sunday school teacher. Hi wife predeceased him 15 years ago. H< is survived by two sons. Messrs. N. B and H. J. Jones, of Masterton, am three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Rogers Wanganui. Mrs. C. Andricksen, Levir and Miss E. M. Jones. Masterton.
