TIMBER MILL RAZED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 11. One of the best-equipped and most up-to-date timber factories in Southland, situated a quarter of a mile from Tuatapere, was totally destroyed by fire early this evening. The plant belonged to Hamilton and Company and was recently taken over by Mr. J. H. Williams. About 10,000 feet of timber was stacked in the mill, and this was destroyed, together with 13,000 feet in racks outside. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the blaze appeared to start in the vicinity of the boiler. The damage is estimated at £5000.
