LORD MAYOR'S SHOW
COUNTRY LIFE FEATURE (British OlTlclal Wireless.) RUGBY, November 9. A pageant of agriculture and country life formed the central feature of the Lord Mayor's Show today. One of the exhibits in the procession which preceded the new Lord Mayor on his journey to make his statutory declaration of office at the Law Courts was a complete pack of hounds from the Old Berkeley Hunt. Probably never before has such a spectacle been seen in London streets. In addition to the interests of agriculture and the work and sport of the countryside, the procession included, as usual, a large number of bands and representatives of the armed forces of the Crown. Although there were heavy rain showers throughout the morning which threatened to spoil the show, the weather improved when the procession began, and the routo was lined with vast crowds. Children were in a majority.
