MURDERED BY BLACKS

TRAPPER IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA EVIDENCE OF STRUGGLE (Received November 12, 10.15 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. John O'Brien, aged about 50 years, a dingo trapper who was reported missing in the far north-west a month ago, has been found dead 140 miles south of Broome. He was murdered by natives who have been troublesome in this district for many years. The ground near where the body was found indicated that a fierce scruggle had taken place. O'Brien's rifle had jammed. The body of a native was also discovered.
