', ■ The final of the last consolation series resulted :-fA grade, T. Chapman 1, T. Grace 2; B grade, J. Stewart I, F. Foley 2, R.'McCabe 3.;, With the exception of the. competition for tha Possible Cup, which concludes nest Wednesday, all competition shoots are now finished. Possibles were scored by J. Cowman, T. Chapman, and W. C. Scambary, 69's by R. Mottram and F. Monk; and 68's by 11. Monk, R. H. Hunt, P. Stewart, G. Scambary, and Mrs. Hearne. The- Port Nicholson Ladles and the Municipal Clubs were the guests of the club last week, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Winners in the shooting were Miss Halllday, of Port • Nicholson Ladies, and Miss .£. Murray and Mr. McKenzte, of the Municipal ■ Club. Consolation prizes . were won by Mr. S. Otton and Mr. L. Cooze, of the Port Nicholson Ladies and Municipal Clubs respectively. ..." " The club recently fired a postal match with an English Club, the result being as follows: — Aotea: K. H. Hunt 100, W. G. On Saturday the vice-president's and husbands were the guests of the club, and a most enjoyable time' was spent. Two teams were Arranged for the shooting, Vice-Presidents v. Husbands; the Vice-Presidents won by a small, margin. . ■ 'All club series, competitions are now completed. In the "own start" 10-shot competition, Mr. Williams's trophy, was won by Mrs. Savies and the Edmeades and Macaskill trophy by Mrs. Ffrost. In the B grade Mr. LelbiMits trophy was won:by Mrs. McKercher, and Mr.. McEwan's .trophy by Miss Wale. I In the final shoot-off of the Parsonage competition Mr. Parsonage's trophy was won by Mrs. 'Greenfield, Mr. Davies's' trophy by Mrs. Jfrost, and Mr. Cleland's trophy by Miss Henderson. In the novelty competition Mr. McTarlane's trophy was won .by Mrs. Greenfield, Mrs. Nicholas's trophy by Mrs. Ffrost. Mrs. McDowell's-trophy by Mrs. House, and Mrs. Barrett's special trophy by Mrs.- McDowell. In the Bakewell medal competition Mrs. May's trophy was won by Mrs. Greenfield. In the B. grade Child's Button competition Mrs. May's trophy was won by Miss Wale. The annual social and presentation of trophies will be held in the Masonic Hall, Petone, on November 30, . 1 LOWER HUTT LADIES' CLUB. Last Tuesday night the Lower Hutt Ladles' Club .wound up a very successful season with a pleasant visitors' evening. There was a large number • of■ guests, ;some of whom had never shot before. The secretary presented the following prizes:—Highest lady's score, Mrs. McHplm; highest men's score, Mr: Solomon; lowest lady's score, Mrs. Jenkins; lowest men's score, Mr. Nightingale. Mrs. Jenkins and Mr. Phillips carried off the prize for the lowest combined score. A very' pleasant evening was also spent the previous week, the occasion being a farewell to an old member, Miss Mable Fraser, who was married in Nelson this week. She was an enthusiastic member and the club, while wishIng her every good wish for the future, is very, sorry to lose one. so sincere and with such a frue sense of sportsmanship. Mrs. Rushton, the secretary, took the opportunity of presenting Miss; Fraser with two. sliver butter dishes on behalf of the club, and also wished her every success for her future happiness. Miss Fraser has had a particularly successful year for' her final one with the club, having annexed the C grade aggregate, besides winning the McHplm Medal, two monthly trophies, and two runner-up-monthly trophies. The O. M. Chins Memorial Ba'lge, which is held for one month for the most number of bulls, was held by Miss Fraser .three. times during the year, and she also tied twice for it.' Last month, being the final one. the club members shot for the -Whltcombo and Caldwell Cupii the competition taking the form of an ''own start." Mrs. Nightingale was the winner.: ; Mrs. Maitland won the B grade club championship for the second year in succession. She also won the B grade McHoun Medal, a3 "well as three monthly trophies. Miss B. Calder, •who -was runner up for the club championship, also' won two monthly trophies. The runnersup for the monthly trophies were Mrs. Henderson,! Mrs. McHolm, Mrs. Nightingale, and Mr«. Bushton. The runner-up in the C grade aggregate was Miss M. Calder. .Monthly trophies were won by Miss Grey, Mrs. Solomon,, and Miss Fraser (2). The runners-iip were Mrs. Jenkins. Mlsi Grey. a,nd-Miss Fraser (2). •The presentation of trophies will take-place oh November 21 at the Oddfellows' Hall, Lower Butt. In tha inter-club matches the club wan not viry successful, winning only two matches in the B grade and one in the C grade. It was, however, successful In winning the Ladles Shield in' the second round, -with a record score. The club' 13 Indebted to Lady .Roberts .and. Mrs. Vivian Rlddlford for donations, and also for donations of cups, medals, and trophies: Sergt. McHolm, Messrs. Wltcombe and Caldwell, Mrs. Nightingale,1 Mrs. Rushton, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. McHolm, Mrs. Chlng. Mrs. Rushton has to be thanked for her untiring efforts in raising club funds during the year. Together with other members of the-committee she has worked very strenuously indeed, and a card party which she held at • her residence recently in aid of the club funds was very .much appreciated. The secretary and club captain are to be congratulated on the manner in- which they nave carried out, their duties during the year. ■•~~
