A NEW REBEKAH LODGE
INSTITUTED AT BLENHEIM
Beaver Rebekah Lodge, No. • 86, of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, New Zealand, (taking its title from the1 early name of the .town—"The Beaver," or "Beavertown") was-suc-cessfully founded in the Masonic Hall, Blenheim, recently. It commenced its career with thirty members and: a batch of further prospective candidates. Bro. G. F. Rudkin, Grand Warden, representing the Grand, Lodge executive, acted as instituting officer, being assisted in the installation ceremony by Bro. G. C.. Gordon, G.L.. Rep,, South East Otago District, recently transferred to Nelson, as acting Deputy, Grand Master. Sis. M. P. Freeman, P.N.G., of Nelson, acted as Grand Secretary, and Sis. M. Sc yeant, Lady Dis-! trict Deputy Grand faster, of Wei-1 lington, acted as Grand Marshal. The i Charter Members of the new lodge are Bro. A. j: Liley (G.L. Rep., D.D.G.M., Marlborough), Sisters T. G. Holdaway A. M. M. O'Neill, M. Fisher, E. Fisher, U. G. Kennedy, and M. Hoare, The new members were initiated into the , Rebekah Degree by Sis. M. P. The installation of the'first-term officers of the new lodge was conducted by Sis. Sergeant, assisted by Sisters M" Whitwell, deputy financial secretary, M. Rawson, deputy recording secretary, Y. R.
