OLD COMMUNION VESSELS

It was recorded in the report of the Home and Maori Mission committee, presented at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church today, that the Communion vessels sent out by the Reformed Church of Scotland for the use of the Rev. James Duncan, the first Maori missionary of the Presbyterian Church, in 1844, which had been lost for a number of years, were recently rediscovered; They were taken to the Maori Mission conference, and the report stated that their presence on the Communion table was an inspiration to Maori and pakeha alike. In future they are to be used annually at the Maori Mission Conference Communion service.
