CHRISTCHURCH DECISION

CHRISTCHURCH, November 11,

For the first time for many years, most of the city cinema theatres will be open on Christmas night. This evening the City Council discussed and voted on a request by theatre proprietors that they be allowed to open for business. Labour members opposed the request, but the motion was carried by 8 votes to 6.
