FEELING IN AUSTRALIA
AIRMEN'S WIVES CONFIDENT.
SYDNEY, November 10.
Considerable anxiety is felt in Axistralia concerning the whereabouts of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and his colleague, Mr. J. T. Pethybridge.
Mr. John Stannage, manager1 of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's aviation, ventures in Sydney, is confident that Sir Charles has not descended in the Bay of Bengal, but probably landed on a beach, where he is -waiting for better weather.
Lady Kingsford Smith is staying at the home of Mrs. Arthur Powell at Toorak, Melbourne. Mrs. Pethybridge is staying with friends at Sandringham. Both are feeling the strain of waiting, nevertheless they are confident that their husbands have not perished.
