METHODICAL ADVANCE
IMPORTANT MOVE IN SOUTH

The news from the theatres of war in Abyssinia today confirms the views expressed on Saturday as to the definite strategy pursued by the Italians and the methodical character of the advance, particularly in the north. It is stated that the main Italian northern army has established a- line of outposts twenty miles south of Makale, the occupation of which was announced on Saturday. Behind the protective screen of these outposts the Italian engineers are beginning the construction of roads and telephones over rough country. By the time this work is completed the invaders will have 75 miles of communication back to the frontier, constructed at an average rale of two miles a day.
