"DEAD HORSE"
The Democrat Party had for its object not the promotion of the interests of one class of the community as against all the others, but to work in the interests of'all classes, declared Mr. W. A. Veitch, Democrat candidate for Wanganui, at a recent meeting. If the people would accept the Democrat policy and take its lead, that policy in the end would prove so satisfactory and improve economic conditions so greatly that every section of the country, would benefit. It was time class politics were driven out, said Mr. Veitch. He had read in a Wellington paper that slinging mud at the Government was like whipping a dead horse. If it was dead, as suggested, said Mr. Veitch, it should be buried.
