WAIWETU CLUB
The flag competition played on the Waiwetu links on Saturday was won by J. J. Garbett, who narrowly missed holing out on the nineteenth green. Only a few of the remaining players reaphed the eighteenth, fairway. Stroke rounds played over the weekend found W. Gregory the winner with a net 70, others, being A. G. Stunell 71, J. J. Garbett 71, E. D. Rex, A. W. Lewis, and A. L. Palmer, each 74. The following points were scored in the junior cup competition: Miss M. Sheeny 3, Miss E. T. Collett 2, and Miss L. Cavanagh 1. Next Saturday afternoon a Stableford bogey will be played, and on Sunday bogey rounds will be contested.
