"33" CLUB
CABARET EVENING
MANY DANCERS ATTEND
At the end of a season of most successful cabaret evenings, the "33" Club, in which are represented all the film industries of Wellington, staged a grand finale on Saturday evening at the Mayfair Cabaret. The attendance was large, both ballrooms being taxed to full capacity, and a cheerful spirit pervaded proceedings. Scintillating "33" motifs were suspended from the light brackets around the walls, and across the dais in the same lettering hung the words "The '33' Club Salutes You."
The stand between the ballrooms was filled with mauve irises and arum lilies, while Iceland poppies decorated the buffet tables" where delectable refreshments were arranged. The committee responsible for the organisation of the dance were Mr. S. Craig (president), Messrs. T. H. Ashtoh (chairman), M. Toomey, M. Sanderson, A. Regan, W. R. KembalL W.
