Whether or not lorry drivers should be paid a shilling a day more than the ordinary workmen in the quarI ries or. on the roads was a question considered by the Makara County Council today. The chairman (Councillor .R G. Mcx ted) said the other workmen had been given an increase but the lorry drivers had not received it because they were already receiving an extra shilling.
