MARANUI SURF CLUB OPENING.

The official opening for tlie season of the Maranui Surf and Life-Saving Club is to take place at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow. The opening speech is to be given by Mr. R. Semple, after which demonstrations of life-saving are to be given. Two six-man teams and a surf life-boat crew are to go into action simultaneously to show the efficiency of these different methods of saving life in the surf. This is to be followed by a surf race in which all members of the club will take part. Afternoon tea will be served in the clubhouse by the ladies' committee. A flannel dance is to be held in the clubhouse at 8 p.m.
