PALMERSTON N., This Day. After heavy rain overnight, showery conditions prevail for the first day of the Manawatu and West Coast' A. and P. Association's Golden Jubilee Spring Show. Entries , exceeding" 5300 have been obtained, and the quality of the exhibits, especially of livestock, is on the highest scale.

Special efforts have been made to make this fiftieth anniversary show.a record one. The association has succeeded in several directions, and only improved weather is required until the concluding day (Saturday) to make it most outstanding.
