HUTT HIGH SCHOOL

GOOD GIRL SPRINTER

The annual athletic sports of the et Hutt Valley High School were held yesterday afternoon. The weather c was somewhat threatening early in the afternoon, but improved later. There were large fields for all events. The competitors were enthusiastic and there were many close finishes. There H was a good attendance of parents. An outstanding competitor in the senior girls' events was E. Oliver, who A won the 100 yards championship, breaking the school record. The previ- a ous record was held by T. Kench, the e( well-known runner, who used to be a pupil of the Hutt High School. No j) other records were broken, although some were equalled. ' The starter was Mr. F. S. Ramson. E' At the conclusion of the sports the Drincipal of the school (Mr. J. N. j Millard) and the chairman of the board of governors (Mr. C. E. Dowland) spoke. - WINNERS OF TROPHIES.
