AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES

New wool records were made at the Geelong sales today when the cream of Victoria's merino clips realised to 27Jd. Other buyers, operating on behalf of English and American spinners, paid 26£ d, 283 d, and 27d. SYDNEY, November 6.
At the Sydney wool sales, 12,523 bales were offered and 12.030 sold, 350 privately. There was spirited competition from all sections, and the market ruled at the best point of the week with particularly keen demand for superfine wools showing length. The season's record price was raised to 24Jd for five bales from Yass and five bales from Barraba.
