Bernard Benjamin Whitburn, a wharf labourer, aged 43, was charged in the Magistrate's Court before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., today with being found this morning without lawful excuse in an enclosed building in Willis Street. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months. .

The police stated that on the night of November 5 workmen lost tools from a building in course of construction in Willis Street. In consequence, the police were asked to look at the building in the early hours of this morning, when a constable saw.-the accused looking over the wall. His explanation was that he was there to gather firewood. The police visited his home and found no tools but sonrm wood which might have come from-th* buildings.
