NEW ERA IN GREECE
RETURN OP THE KING
DEPUTATION TO LONDON
LONDON', November 5.
The "Daily Mail's" Athens correspondent says that a special delegation will go to London on November 6 to request ex-King George to return to the throne.
The Premier (General Kondylis) states that he will resign immediately after the King's arrival, but hopes to be entrusted with the formation of a new Cabinet, after which he will recommend the dissolution of the Assembly and the proclamation of a General Election.
Athens was illuminated last night. Demonstrations were staged and bands were playing everywhere. The streets were crowded with excited Royalists singing and firing revolvers in the air. Exiled opposition leaders may shortly be allowed to return.
General Kondylis, in a speech, said: "A new era has opened. There are no more Greeks belonging to parties, but only the King's united faithful subjects."
