THE LATE DR. CIBB

At a meeting of the Dominion Council of the League of Nations Union, held this week, a motion was passed placing on record the council's deep sense of loss in the passing of Dr. James Gibb, "who served for so long as president of the union and who two years ago was appointed president emeritus. "With unfailing zeal and resolute courage he furthered the cause of the union on all occasions," the resolution proceeds. "He devoted to the cause of world peace his outstanding gifts of speech and of writing to awaken the community to the importance of right international relationships. The council feels it has sustained a deep loss in his passing, but rejoices in the noble record of faithful service which he has left."
