LOWER HUTT DANCE

The R.S.A. Hall, Lower Hutt, decorated with spring flowers, presented a very gay appearance recently when Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Skipage gave a party in honour of their daughier, Joyce. Mrs. Skipage received the guests wearing a model gown of brown georgette and lace and a contrasting posy. The guest of honour wore a gown of cream ihariette with, separate cape of mariette and silver lame.

Dancing and games were the order of the evening, and novelty hats and streamers added to the gaiety. ' A delightful "trio" was rendered by Miss Dorothy La Roche (piano), Mr. Laurinston Skipage ('cello), and Miss Joyce Skipage (violin). Mr. E. Hartley was M.C. Competitions were won by Miss D. La Koche, Miss E. Hawker, Miss P. "Wakefield, Mr. L. Skipage, arid Mr. J. Ross. The music was supplied, by a good orchestra. The guests, numbering over 70, were served with a delicious home-made savoury supper. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. A.' V. Swansoh, Mr. and Mrs. La Roche, Major and Mrs. Cowie, Mr. and Mrs. E. Glennie, Mr. arid Mr?; R. Mason, Mr. and Mrs. J. Ross, Mr. and Mrs. G. Dpnaldson, Mr. and Mrs. S. Mason, Mr. and Mrs. J. Edmonds, Mrs. A. J. Lindop, Mr. and Mrs. S. Hawken, Mr. "arid Mrs. E. Swanson. Mrs. -E. Daysh, the Misses M. La Roche; V. Swanson, P. and B. Wakefleld, E. Newton, X.. Hawker, I. Gardner, E. Lindop, H. Hartley, E. Haden, E. Hawker, D. La Roche, S. Watson-Munro, E. Mason, M. Duncan, V. Caloganus, E. WatsonMunro, and Messrs. K. Dixon, B. Ross, L. August, W. Nicholson, H. Mason, L. Mr. Peter Fraser will address the Y.W.C.A. Round Table Club tomorrow night in the Y.W.C.A. Hall. A large attendance is anticipated.

A bazaar in aid of St. Peter's "Parish will be opened by Mrs. Sprbtt tomorrow at 3 p.m. The sale will be continued in the evening and also on Friday afternoon and' evening. A special feature will be the reasonable prices of the goods for sale, which will include produce, fancy and plain needlework, etc. Good entertainment is promised for the evenings, and it is hoped that there will be large. attendances.
