The secretary's trophy, which was played for during the weekend in a 18-hole stableford competition, resulted in a tie between L. J. Nicholson, 19, 15—34, and C. E. Petersen, 22, 12— 34.. Next were L. J. Evans, 24, 7—31; W. W. Stephen, 26, 5—31; E. C. Swinson* 24, 6—30; F. Laycock, 19. 11—30. - An 18-hole stroke competition was won by A. G. Minifie with 80.12—68, the next best being W. J. Cooch. 92, 18— 74. . .
An 18-hole stableford competition resulted in another tie between H. R. Baigent. 20, 11—31. and A. Charles, 22, 9—31, next being W. Fudge 18, 12—30 and A. S. Jaggers, 20, 10—30. Next weekend the club will have its closing of the winter season, an 18----hole mixed Canadian foursome will be played, also a -pitching and putting competition, * after which the presentation lof prizes will take place.
